Tips you may want to consider before buying your plane ticket
If you have more time than money, consider flying into the Buffalo Airport. From there, Megabus or Greyhound have direct service to downtown Toronto. A one-way ticket will cost around $20 US.
The bus ride will take approximately 3 hours. Delays are frequent, as you will be crossing the second busiest border in the US. For the same reason, ensure that you have your passport, and facts about your visit organized, to facilitate an uneventful crossing.
Move!
Public Transport around Toronto is carried out by the multifarious Toronto Transit Commission (http://www3.ttc.ca/). The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine is located right above the Leslie Station on the Sheppard avenue line which runs east from the Sheppard-Yonge station.
For most purposes, the train will suffice, with free-transfer to buses and streetcars helping to get closer to your destination. Individual rides are $3.00, $2.50 if you buy more than 4 at a time. Please note that a day pass for $10 gives you unlimited rides for a 24-hour period, and on weekends includes two (2) adults in one single pass. So for the Saturday outing, get a partner, and you will at least break even!
To get from the airport to CCNM, there are several options with different degrees of convenience (http://www3.ttc.ca/Riding_the_TTC/Airport_service.jsp). The optimal combination of expense and time and simplicity is perhaps the 58A bus to Lawrence West station. That line takes you to the Sheppard-Yonge station where you would change to the Sheppard line. Torontonians love changing trains!
